We advance health equity and protect LGBTQ+ rights by addressing disparities such as HIV, Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use Disorder, and Heart Disease. Through advocacy, education, and community-driven programs, we empower individuals to live with dignity, wellness, and opportunity.

Our Vision

At Equality Empowerment Center, we envision a world where LGBTQ+ communities live with dignity, safety, and equal rights free from stigma and discrimination. All individuals have access to affirming healthcare and opportunities to thrive, without disparities related to HIV, Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use Disorder, or Heart Disease. We see strong, empowered communities leading change and building a more just and inclusive future.

Meet our Team

William Campos – President

William Campos serves as President of Equality Empowerment Center and is a gender non-conforming leader with a background in Business Administration from Florida International University (FIU). He has built strong trust and respect throughout Miami-Dade County through his authentic, community-centered leadership.

Specializing in HIV testing, prevention, and outreach, William works collaboratively with local organizations to expand access to health services and empower marginalized LGBTQ+ communities. His leadership is grounded in lived experience, advocacy, and a deep commitment to advancing health equity, dignity, and opportunity for all.

Alberto Perez Bermudez – Support Group Leader

At Equality Empowerment Center, Alberto plays a key role in advancing community outreach and engagement initiatives. His work focuses on building meaningful connections, supporting inclusive programs, and fostering spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Through collaboration with community partners and organizations, Alberto contributes to expanding access to resources, strengthening networks, and promoting equity for all. His dedication reflects a strong commitment to advocacy, inclusion, and the well-being of the communities served.
